Hi, I’m Oland.
Husband. Father. Pastor. Entrepreneur.
That’s the order I try to live by — even on the days I get it backwards.
I lead a church. I’m married, and we’re raising three daughters. Most mornings start with the Word, black coffee, and a quiet moment before the day picks up speed. Most nights end with a journal, a prayer, and a sermon tape before I sleep.
This site is where I write.
Not to build a platform. Not to market anything. Just to put words to the life I’m living — the things I’m learning, the things I’m still figuring out, and the things I want my children and grandchildren to be able to read someday when I’m no longer around to say them out loud.
You’ll find three kinds of writing here:
- Faith — What I’m learning from the Word. The quiet convictions that shape how I live.
- Family & life — The real stuff. Marriage, fatherhood, the moments that caught me off guard, the lessons that came slow and sometimes hard.
- Leading & growing — What it’s actually like to lead people, make mistakes, and keep going. Not a blueprint. Just honest notes from the field.
I’m not writing as an expert.
I’m writing as a man who believes the Word, loves his family, and is still very much in the middle of the story.
